Chris Hush brings you the latest news from the Twin Tiers week day mornings on WETM 18 News TODAY and at !
He came to WETM in June 2011 from Penn State University as a general assignment reporter. Since then, he now anchors & produces at Channel 18.
While majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Theater at Penn State, Chris travelled to Cape Town, South Africa where he was a “one man band” in the University’s “Centre County Report” news program. The piece contributed to a Hearst Award for the College.
He also interned for NBC’s TODAY Show at 30 Rock in New York City and NBC 4 in Washington, D.C.- his hometown.
When not “hitting the concrete” or at the anchor desk, Chris is busy sweating it out at a CrossFit gym or on the flip side, indulging in one of his guilty pleasures…Rita’s Italian Ice.
Chris is also proud to be involved in community events and volunteering. Most recently, Chris competed alongside WETM’s Sam Smink in “Dancing With Our Stars,” where both raised money for the Big Flats Little League- Challenger Division; a baseball league that opens up the opportunity for mentally & physically challenged youths to play ball!
