Bulldogs on the Right Track

   Let me preface this by admitting that I am very much a basketball fan, and would love to see basketball succeed in the Twin Tiers.  With the Bulldogs' latest move, they may just be cementing some staying power.

   Bringing Dennis Rodman to town is a HUGE get... HUGE.  To be a viable business operation, a minor league team has to sell tickets.  On the flip side, to sell tickets as a fairly new franchise, you have to prove you're a viable business operation.  This should satisfy both those needs.

   First Arena will be filled February 12th and 13th.  That's roughly 8,000 fans total - many of whom will be seeing this team for the first time.  Elmira has to be competitive and entertaining those nights, or else this will be a giant waste in the long-term scheme.  Build a fan base, and this team will stick.
