ELMIRA - Eventually, Jackals fans will be able to see Yannick Tifu on the ice. It's hard to pinpoint exactly when that will be right now, though, with Tifu waiting on his work visa to go through.
The All-Star forward skated with the team this morning, remaining hopeful he can make his Elmira debut this weekend. Head Coach Steve Martinson says as soon as he gets the "all-clear," Tifu will be on the ice.
Also today, the team learned that forward Chaz Johnson will have to serve a one-game suspension for his actions in the game against Trenton this past Saturday. Johnson received multiple penalties - including a game misconduct - during a second-period scrum.
Elmira plays Trenton three times this weekend. Friday's matchup is at First Arena, with the puck drop scheduled for 7:35pm.
