In the first year of the Runs for Relief programs, STAC West baseball teams raised nearly $3,000 to benefit cancer patients. Horseheads Head Coach Jeff Limoncelli presented the Falck Cancer Center with the donation this afternoon.
"You look at major league baseball, and there's a reason they're doing the pink bats and blue wristbands," Limoncelli said. He's helped bring that idea to a local level.
STAC West varsity and junior varsity teams plan to continue the Runs for Relief program next year.
