TOWANDA - Towanda's perfect season is perfect no more. Lewisburg came in and upset the top-seeded Black Knights in the District IV Semifinals Friday night, 19-14.
Lewisburg struck first, on a Camden Cassels pass to Ryan Lopes, but Towanda would answer in the second quarter when Dakota Roof ran it in from ten yards out.
Late in the first half, though, Lopes broke a tackle and went 29 yards for a score, making it 13-7 Lewisburg at the break.
A bad snap on a punt led to another Lewisburg TD in the third quarter, but Towanda would stage a comeback. Roof scored on another keeper with six minutes to go, pulling the Black Knights within 19-14.
They would get the ball back late, but Brandon Smith sacked Roof on a fourth down try to end Towanda's season.
