I would like to know why Eric Massa, after promising to clean up hiring practices at the Bath VA, had his chief of staff Joe Ricalto notify security at the Bath VA that I had threatened the congressman. The VA shut down its facility, set up road blocks and alerted all employees and visitors to the facility that I was a disgruntled ex-employee and a threat to the congressman. When I questioned the VA about this they denied this. When I pressed the issue they sent me three apologies letters but none admitted nor took responsibilities for their actions. After receiving the police report through Release of Operations the office in Washington admitted a threat was never made yet the VA refuses to admit wrong doing. I recently wrote medical director Dave West that, since I was being treated like a criminal, I would like to be reimbursed for medical expenses incurred at places other than the VA. They denied me stating I was welcomed on the facility and there was no wrong doing on their part. The damage is done. They made a public statement that I was a threat and refuse to retract that staement publicly. My question to the disgraced congressman is why did you staff members contactt the VA about threats when you do not even have an office at the facility? And why did you not dispose of your so-called Veteran's Representative "Doc" Schmidt when you were notified that he called me at 7 in the morning and threatened to shoot me if I did not drop my request for an investigation into the avoidable death of an aging veteran at the VA? Schmidt is now Reed's veteran's rep. Anyhow, I served this country honorably for four years and I must now pay for services out of my pocket because of the partisan practice of the VA. As a side note, why do veterans owe Brandon Gardner a job at the VA? Gardner was an aide to retired congressman Houghton. The Bath VA managed to create a position for Gardner becuase, as past PAO Carl Haneline stated "we owe the congressman a favor."
