Affordable, high-quality training in dozens of careers is available to high school students and adults at GST BOCES.
High school students can attend our Career and Technical Education (or CTE) Program at one of our three campuses–Wildwood Education Center in Hornell, Coopers Education Center in Painted Post and the Bush Campus in Elmira. Classes are available in careers such as Building Trades, Computer Information Technology, Conservation, Dental Assisting, Diesel Equipment Technology, Digital Media Arts, Fashion Design, Machining and many others.
CTE classes offer training in job-specific skills through instruction and hands-on experience. Students can use the skills they gain to start a career right after high school or as preparation for college or the military.
Adults also can attend classes at any of our three campuses. With appropriate funding, adult students can attend any of the secondary programs offered. In addition, GST BOCES Adult Education and Training Program offers an extensive list of opportunities designed specifically for adult students, including: Office Careers, Cosmetology, CDL Class A-B/Heavy Equipment Operation, Licensed Practical Nursing and other health careers, Machining, HVAC/R Training and Welding.
These courses offer the same quality, hands-on training that is offered to secondary students at hours that are convenient for working adults.
