Hello again Twin Tiers!

Two and a half years after I bid you all goodbye, I'm back and so excited to spend the next two weeks visiting with you... from thousands of miles away, and from my backyard in Vancouver.

As you sit back and watch spectacular athletes compete, I will be showing you another side of the Games. The one that those of us who live here are experiencing as hundreds of thousands of people invade Vancouver to watch it all happen. By Skytrain, streetcar, and shoe leather I hope to take you on a journey that you won't see anywhere else!

Fun at the games
The End is Here
An intense few weeks ends with the most intense game of all--- the Gold medal game between Canada vs. USA. Those who paid outrageous prices just to get a ticket, certainly got their money's worth.
Finland vs. Sweden: The Bronze Medal Game
It felt a little strange filing into a Stadium before noon, but it was clear during the women's practice that both teams were here to win.
The One Place You Don't Face Crowds
For the most part, Canadians are rule followers... we don't cross the street when it says “Don't Walk”, we queue up in an orderly fashion, and it appears everyone took note when we were told to avoid driving downtown during the Olympics.
Different Cultures, From a Local's Perspective
Office space and tents took over downtown Vancouver, putting the best of a given country on display for the world to see.
Want to Zipline? Not So Fast
I really, really wanted to do it. I figured I would feel like Spiderwoman--- zipping across Robson Square, hanging only from a single cable. But it's not going to happen.
