Man vs. Wild star Bear Grylls is developing a new competition series for NBC called Get Out Alive, Entertainment Weekly reports.
NBC has reportedly ordered eight episodes of the series, which will split contestants into two teams and present them with extreme challenges in the wilderness. The show is expected to premiere next summer.
Discovery and Man vs. Wild's Bear Grylls part ways over contract dispute
This will be Grylls' first foray into broadcast television. Man vs. Wild ran for nearly six years on the Discovery Channel.
