You'll need to return the specimen to the doctor as soon as possible, because the fresher the better. Some labs will request that you provide the specimen while in the lab. They'll provide you with a small jar, a private room, and some reading material. Here, just as with a sample taken from home, you must submit the results immediately for accurate analysis. The lab will test for sperm count, movement, and percentage of normal shapes.
