Nannies

Nannies were once an option only for the very wealthy, but are now gaining in popularity in middle-class families. Often, nannies have specialized education in children's care, nutrition, and health. Nannies care for children in their home, and often perform extended childcare-related tasks, such as taking children to extracurricular activities or doctor's appointments, and planning the children's meals. Some parents prefer live-in nannies, while others enjoy the privacy of a nanny maintaining a separate residence. In either case, nannies generally enjoy relatively higher salaries than daycare workers or family daycare providers. If you're considering employing a nanny, you may be able to attract a well-qualified, loving professional by offering a benefits package in addition to generous pay. Remember, the family's relationship with the nanny will probably be much more intimate than with other care providers, so in addition to basic qualifications, choose a nanny with whom you and your children have a good rapport (ruh-pore).
