Chances are, you will receive at least one wedding gift you will want to return. To do so, keep the tag on the gift or the box in which it arrived and most stores will readily exchange the item. Even though you are returning the gift, send a thank-you note immediately and do not mention that you are exchanging it. If the gift is delivered damaged, it is a good idea to notify the store first, rather than the sender. In some cases you may want to take a picture of the damaged box. Usually, there will be no problem replacing the item. For more information on returning and exchanging gifts, contact a wedding specialist or the store where you are registered.
