ALFRED, N.Y. - As the rounds tick by this weekend in the NFL Draft, Nick Clark will be keeping a close eye on the action. The former All-American linebacker at Alfred University will find out his NFL future over the next couple days.
The Canisteo-Greenwood grad could be a late-round draft choice, or sign with a team as an undrafted free agent. Either way, all Clark wants is a shot.
"Really it just comes down to someone giving you a chance," said Clark. "Getting into a mini camp, whether drafted or free agency. Just getting that opportunity. Once you are there it is not whether you're D-three or D-I anymore. It's just who competes."
