NEWBURGH, N.Y. (AP) — A collision between a school bus carrying students and a police patrol car in the Hudson Valley town of Newburgh has reportedly left an officer seriously injured.
The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports that a Newburgh town police officer was airlifted to a trauma center after the Thursday afternoon crash.
The newspaper says six other patients believed to be students on what appeared to be a high school bus were taken to local hospitals and that their injuries did not appear to be serious.
Town police and the local school district say they have no information immediately available on the crash.
