ELMIRA - Neighbors throughout the Twin Tiers will head to the polls Tuesday to cast their votes in a series of local elections.

Polls are open in New York Tuesday morning from 6:00 a.m. -9:00 p.m.
In Pennsylvania the polls are open from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

State officials in both New York and Pennsylvania say this is an off election year and expect voter turn out to be low Tuesday.
