Bath - A woman being held in the Steuben County jail is asking to get out because she's going to have a baby.

The woman is expected to give birth in December while in jail.

Her sentence for failing drug court lasts through April.

The inmate has filed for a conditional release.

If granted by the State Department of Corrections, she would be let out on parole.

If that's not granted, tax payers will be paying for her medical care in jail.

The Steuben County Sheriff Joel Ordway says, "We’re looking at a two hundred thousand dollar bill with all this expense.  Having a guard on duty with her while she is in the hospital until she is released."

Ordway also sys the expenses include: diapers, formula and other needs that will be provided to her until her release in April.
