BIG FLATS—

Teresa Dean says there is an e-mail going around to voters in Big Flats that says she plans to commit only two hours a day to her job as town supervisor, if elected.

But Monday night, Dean told WETM 18 News that is not true.

Unlike the e-mail states, she says she has not disclosed how many hours she would devote if elected.

Dean also has a full-time job with BOCES and runs her own business.  She says she was planning to wait until after the general election before deciding her hours.  But now that's changed.

"I am ready to take that step and say that I'm going to commit 30 hours a week to the town of big flats and that does not include weekend and evening meetings,” said Dean.

The e-mail to voters also says there is a successful write-in campaign underway for the current won supervisor, Mary Ann Balland.

A small flyer is also going around to neighbors on how to cast a write in vote.

Supporters of Balland say this is an effort from many different neighbors.

On Friday, Balland told us she was not a part of the effort or even aware of one.

Dean is unopposed on the ballot in Tuesday’s election, after defeating Balland in the Republican primary.
