HORSEHEADS, N.Y. - Horseheads has its fifth straight STAC West girls basketball title, and this may be the most unlikely of the bunch.
The Lady Raiders replaced all five starters from last year's team, but a group of talented underclassmen - led by juniors Jen Chalk and Tess Wicks, along with the freshman duo of Marlea Nolan and Amanda Schiefen - have kept Horseheads' dominance going.
With a 12-2 record after Tuesday night's win over Ithaca, Horseheads is in line to host a STAC Semifinal game.
Next on tap will be a game at Vestal this Friday night.
