HORSEHEADS, N.Y. - On a muddy Monday, Alexa Archambeault gave Horseheads fans a reason to head home happy. Archambeault's walk-off homerun in the bottom of the seventh inning handed the Lady Raiders a 7-5 win over Corning.
Horseheads built an early 4-0 lead, only to see Corning answer with five runs to take a 5-4 lead into the final inning.
Down to their last out, Liz Thompson drilled a single to keep the inning alive, putting runners on first and second.
Archambeault followed that with a game-winning three-run homerun for the victory.
