ATHENS, PENNSYLVANIA - Most coaches in thier first season would have had a challenge, as players adapted to a new system. The Wildcats situation was a little different than most.
Coach Fauver had coached many of those players before. He knew what to expect from them, and knew their strenths and where each player needed to improve.
This season, Fauver returns, and so does most of his squad from last year. Athens only lost two players from the team that made it all the way to Wilkes-Barre. Having prior knowledge of a sytem their in, is helpful. But, most of the student athletes have been playing together since they were five, bringing their team chemistry to a whole new level.
Athens has already scrimmaged some the Twin Tiers' top teams, including Binghamton. This time around, the Wildcats have championship expectations.
