SYRACUSE, NEW YORK - Last year's Sprint Cup race at Watkins Glen International had it all, a huge turn out from the fans, perfect weather, and an amazing finish.  The only thing missing was a sponsor.

While the area certainly enjoyed the national exposure from the name, "The Finger Lakes 355," the history of NASCAR is directly rooted with sponsorship opportunities.

On Tuesday, WGI President, Michael Printup made the announcement that he's been waiting to make for over a year in a half.

This years Sprint Cup race will be known as the Cheez-It 355 at The Glen.  WGI and the Kellogg brand signed a multi-year deal, and while the details of the contract could not be released, Kellogg is extatic about continuing it's long participation in the sports.

Printup knows that a family-freindly sponsor like Cheez-It will add to the incredible atmosphere that the fans have come to expect at Watkins Glen International.

There were many companies looking at the possibility of sponsoring this year's event, and while Cheez-It was not on the immediate list, they negotiated through the fall, and ultimately came to the agreement.

The Cheez-It 355 at The Glen will be on Sunday, August 11, 2013.
