PINE VALLEY, N.Y. - Elmira College exploded for four goals in the second period, then added three more in the third Friday night, blasting Manhattanville 7-2.
The win extends EC's lead in the ECAC West to five points.
Elmira fell behind 1-0 in the first period before the offense found that extra gear.
The Soaring Eagles scored a pair of short-handed goals in the second frame - one each from John Clewlow and Colin Hoey.
These two play again Saturday night at 7pm.
