Matt launched the UPN 30 News at 10pm in 2004 (Now WETM.2). During his time he also took over anchoring duties on WETM 18 News at 5.
Matt left WETM in October of 2006 bound for Rochester, NY. He joined the CBS & FOX affiliates as a reporter. He spent 4 years covering some of the biggest stories in Western New York including the resignation of Governor Eliot Spitzer, the Buffalo plane crash and a Valentine's Day shooting rampage that spanned 2 counties.
In 2010, Matt helped launch another brand new newscast. He signed on as anchor of News 8 First at 4. Rochester's only 4pm newscast on broadcast television. The newscast is anchored from the newsroom and incorporates social media. Matt shares viewer comments from Facebook and Twitter on the stories of the day.
Since leaving, Matt also got a dog. He has a Boston Terrier named Swarley.
