After leaving WETM-TV in April of 2008, I joined a group of four television stations in snowy Syracuse called “CNYCentral.” I also work for a private forecasting company called Precision Weather Service. I provide highly specialized forecasts to my clients, who range from radio stations across the U.S. and Canada to the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority, to Hollywood event production companies.
You most likely remember my wife, WETM-18 Storm Team Meteorologist Vanessa Richards, from her stay in Twin Tiers from 2008 to 2010. After her departure from WETM-TV in late August of 2010, she joined “the competition” across town here in Syracuse at Time Warner Cable’s YNN (Your News Now). We can often be seen sharing the airwaves throughout the week. We recently purchased a house near Syracuse and are enjoying exploring all that the Syracuse area has to offer.
We both miss the Twin Tiers and will be stopping back down from time to time!
