Wellsboro, (PA) -
The new sheriff in Tioga County Pennsylvania says he's ready to get to work.On Tuesday night, Tom Young was elected sheriff.
Young, the former Wellsboro police chief, ran uncontested.
Once in office, Young says has an idea of what he wants to change.
"Advances in technology to make the operation more efficient/effective and hopefully we'll be able to make some changes there."
Current sheriff, John Perry, has decided to retire.
Young will take office January 4th 2010.
He resigned from the Wellsboro police department last year.
