Steuben County officials have opted to use the Optical Scanner Voting machines at every polling place starting with the Primary in September.
Voters at the polling station at the Southeast Steuben County Library say the new system is easier and more convenient than the old lever system.
"I enjoyed it very much. It's less complicated and easier. Especially when you have a go cart!" said Anthony Ruocco, a Corning voter.
"It's a lot easier to read a ballot when it's in front of you on a table, as opposed to looking at it in front of you. A lot of people miss things. Especially the propositions, what used to be at the top. A lot of people forget they're there." said Dale Wexell, a Corning voter.
Board of Election officials in Steuben County say some inspectors have had questions on operating the system.
But overall, they say, everything has been going smooth.
