NEW YORK - Chandler Jones has gone from Southern Tier standout to NFL First Round Draft Pick. The New England Patriots selected the former Union-Endicott star with the 21st pick in the first round Thursday night.
New England traded up for the chance to draft Jones, who left Syracuse after his junior season.
The defensive end is the younger brother of Ravens defensive lineman Arthur Jones and UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Jon "Bones" Jones.
He is the first Syracuse player in a decade to be drafted in the first round.
