SAYRE, Pa. - The NTL East is still a four-team race in girls basketball this year, but Sayre has officially taken the lead with a 34-30 win over rival Athens Tuesday night.
Mollie Robinson scored 15 points to lead the Lady Redskins. They took over sole possession of first place in the league with the victory, at 8-1 in NTL East play. Sayre is 16-2 overall on the season.
The Waverly boys and Watkins Glen girls wrapped up IAC titles Tuesday night as well.
