Watkins Glen - Schuyler County lawmakers are continuing with plans to cut a dozen jobs in the proposed county budget.

County administrator Tim O'Hearn says a budget workshop held this morning was very brief and no changes were made to the plan.

The proposed budget lowers your taxes by an average of by 3%.

Meanwhile, the tax levy or the total amount of taxes that need to be raised would go up 4%

Schuyler County is expected to eliminate 12.5 jobs through cuts and attrition.

Those being affected would be law enforcement, buildings and grounds, community and metal health human services.

The budget will be voted on Monday night.

The C-S-E-A, which represents 150 Schuyler County workers, recently spoke out against the plan to cut jobs.
