Sayre, Pa.- This week’s Tribute to Our Troops honors U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Heath Stone.
Chief Warrant Officer Stone was nominated by his wife, Jenny.
Heath is from Ohio, but his wife is from Sayre, and they have family there.
Chief Warrant Officer Stone has served four tours overseas; he completed two tours in Iraq and two in Afghanistan.
Stone is based out of Fort Drum.
His wife said that she nominated Heath because of his service to our country.
While he was deployed, she ran 11 road races, one for each month Heath was gone.
The twelfth race, they ran and finished together once Chief Warrant Officer Stone made it home safely.
