Corning, N.Y. – This week’s Tribute to Our Troops honors U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Erik Varga.
Staff Seregant Varga was nominated by his father and mother-in-law.
Erik is a Corning East High School graduate, and is an 18 year veteran of the Marine Corps.
He has served three tours overseas; including a most recent tour to Afghanistan.
Staff Sergeant Varga is currently stationed in Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
Erik was nominated for Tribute to Our Troops because of his continued and dedicated service to our country.
