Ovid, N.Y. - Six Amish people were hurt Sunday when a car hit the horse-drawn buggy they were riding in.

Police say a car driven by 29-year-old Natalie Covert hit the buggy on County Road 139.

The buggy flipped, throwing all six people from it.

A 3-year-old and two others are hospitalized in guarded condition.

Covert was ticked for failure to slow down while approaching a horse-drawn buggy.
