N. Korea - North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-Un called for an end of confrontation with South Korea.

In a rare New Year's Day message, Jong-un also spoke about military strength and improving the country's economy.

He also praised the controversial long-range rocket launch last month.

It was the first New Year's message in more than 20 years for the nation.
