(WHAM-TV) - Astronomers say a North Korean satellite launched into space last week is malfunctioning, but could still stay in orbit for several years.

Data shows the satellite is tumbling as it orbits, suggesting a malfunction in the mechanics that constantly point it toward the earth.

It is still possible North Korea could determine how to fix it and regain control.
