Buffalo, N.Y. -- A Buffalo man admitted he robbed five banks, including one in Batavia and one in Irondequoit.
Michael Makolinski plead guilty to a multi-state bank robbery spree in 2007.
Makolinski robbed the Bank of America in Batavia, the Fairport Savings Bank in Irondequoit, the Northwest Savings Bank in Erie, Pa.., the First Niagara Bank in Lewiston, N.Y., and he Evans National Bankin Buffalo.
Buffalo police arrested Makolinski on an unrelated charge in 2010.
He faces up to 25 years in prison and a $1 million fine or both. Makolinski is scheduled to be sentenced in November.
