NASA – Washington, D.C. - NASA says an asteroid half the size of a football field will come very close to Earth next week, but won't do any damage.

The asteroid, known as DA-14, will come closer to Earth than even telecommunications satellites, Friday, February 15.

But Earth's gravitational field will  give the asteroid a kick out into space. accprdomg tp NASA.

The scientists say the asteroid will be too dim to see with the naked eye.
