Buffalo, N.Y. (AP) — Prosecutors have vowed to seek the maximum sentence for a Buffalo man caught on camera shooting another man in the head.
Taire Chaney is scheduled to be sentenced in New York State Supreme Court Tuesday.
Chaney pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter last month, admitting that he shot 20-year-old Anthony Pitts in March outside a Buffalo sports bar. The two had argued at the bar about an hour earlier.
City officials say a city surveillance camera on a utility pole, as well as security cameras, captured graphic footage of the shooting.
Chaney faces five to 25 years in prison.
