Washington - New developments have surfaced in the investigation into former CIA Director David Petraeus’ resignation.

The top US Military Commander in Afghanistan, General John Allen, is now being investigated as well.

Gen. Allen is alleged to have had “inappropriate communications” with Jill Kelley, the woman claiming to have received threatening emails from Paula Broadwell. Broadwell is the woman who had an affair with Petraeus.

Allen is set to be confirmed next year as the new head of US European Command and Commander of NATO Forces in Europe.

That appointment is being put on hold until relevant facts are confirmed.
