Federal agents have questions for the New Jersey Democrat about advocating for the business interests of a wealthy donor and friend.
Agents reportedly questioned witnesses about interactions between Menendez and a Florida ophthalmologist.
In February, a woman accused Menendez of hiring prostitutes while on a trip to the Dominican Republic.
She later dropped her claim.
