Seneca Falls, N.Y. - A Seneca Falls man faces up to 50 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for allegedly receiving and possessing child pornography.

Assistant U.Sl Attorney Tiffany H. Lee, who is handling the case, said that the US Postal Inspection Service had information that Lawrence Higgins ordered DVDs depicting child pornography 11 times between November 2008 and March 2011--from an "International Company."

Investigators say Higgins, 61, admitted to ordering the DVDs and to possessing thousands of images and hundreds of hours of video of child pornography on digital storage.

Higgins is also a convicted sex offender and admitted he failed to register with the state.

He is being held without bail until a hearing next week.
