Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - North Carolina State basketball coach Mark Gottfried announced Monday that Thomas de Thaey has decided to leave the program.
The sophomore forward is returning to Belgium to be with his father, who has fallen ill, and to pursue a professional career.
De Thaey, a native of Dendermonde, averaged 1.7 points and 1.3 rebounds in 22 games with the Wolfpack.
