Recap: SE Louisiana vs. Tenn-Martin

Hammond, LA (Sports Network) - Roosevelt Johnson tallied 23 points and 19 rebounds as the Southeastern Louisiana Lions defeated the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks 64-48 in a BracketBuster game at University Center.

Todd Nelson added 18 points for SE Louisiana (10-15) while DeShawn Patterson chipped in 10 points. The Lions have now won two of three.

For UT-Martin (4-25), Mike Liabo led the way with 13 points. Troy King pitched in 10 points for the Skyhawks, who have lost 16 of their last 17 games.

SE Louisiana took a 31-22 lead into halftime behind 40 percent shooting from the field. UT-Martin went 36 percent from the floor in the half and connected on just 1-of-5 three-pointers.

The Lions improved their shooting to 46.7 percent after half and coasted to the victory.

SE Louisiana converted 15 UT-Martin turnovers into 19 points.
