Recap: Detroit vs. Philadelphia

Lakeland, FL (Sports Network) - Carlos Ruiz hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning and Lou Montanez's go-ahead single in the seventh lifted the Philadelphia Phillies to a 7-5 victory over the Detroit Tigers in spring training action.

Montanez also scored two runs, while Roy Halladay allowed three runs on four hits in a three-inning start for Philadelphia. He struck out four.

Eric Patterson hit two home runs and drove in four runs for the Tigers, who got 3 1/3 shutout innings from Max Scherzer.
