HORNELL - A year ago, Dylan Dunn and Keegan Pierce walked off the soccer field as sectional co-champs, but never got to play in states. They've fixed that little problem this year, only this time, it's on the football field.
Both Dunn and Pierce gave up soccer for football this year, and both have made instant impacts.
Dunn is one of the Red Raiders' two big threats at wide receiver, catching 23 balls for 324 yards at two touchdowns. Pierce has a couple touchdowns as well, but his presence has been felt more on the defensive side of the ball, where he has seven sacks on the year.
To hear from both, and Head Coach Gene Mastin, check out the video link from Thursday's WETM-18 Sports at 6pm.
Hornell plays Westhill Saturday at 3pm at Rochester's Marina Auto Stadium. Chenango Forks and Southwestern have the game immediately before them at noon.
